If you are lonely and looking for some love, Velcro might be your man! He has been aptly named; this boy cannot get enough attention. He can be a little bit shy with new people, but that only lasts minutes and they he's soaking up all the love he can. He has a wonderful purr, is a great biscuit maker, and loves curling up in laps. He will make a really wonderful companion!
Velcro was rescued from a hoarding situation, so he's very used to being around other cat. He is only about 8-9 months old, is submissive, and has great body language when it comes to communicating with other cats. He would do really well in a home with other cats that he can play with. He would be comfortable being in a home where he's the one-and-only, provided that his family is home a lot so he's not left alone. Perhaps someone who works from home, is recently retired, or who needs some extra love.
Due to his medium length coat, Velcro can get tiny mats in his fur, so he needs a home with someone who is willing to brush him regularly. He enjoys being touched and rubbed so he will be happy for some grooming time to bond with his new family.
Velcro is dog-like in the sense that he likes to follow his people around. He wants to be involved in what's doing on and would far rather be by your side than sitting by himself. These personality traits lead to Velcro being a bit under-foot. Therefore, he wont be the right fit for someone who has mobility challenges. He might be a bit of a trip hazard for someone who is unsteady on their feet.
